Well, what can I say? This is gonna be unpopular opinion, but I loved the new movie. "The Little Mermaid" is one of my favourite cartoons, so I was sceptical about new movie, heard a lot of opinions that the new movie has nothing to offer except changing main character completely, a blah-blah-blah. But I think people who made new movie loved the original cartoon: it's colorful, it corrected some plot mistakes that were in cartoon and made plot better. And new Ursula Heart ! And the love between Ariel and Eric melted my old grouchy heart, their love line in some ways better than it was in cartoon.
